My mum went into Silver Birch Care Home for a 10 week respite period. She settled so well she has decided to become a permanent resident. The kindness she has experienced is amazing, the same can be said for the support and how she is treated with dignity. My mum is 96 years old and originally went in with a broken collarbone, she has made a speedy recovery and now enjoys all that the home provides.
My Mum has been a resident at Silver Birch for over a year. The manager and staff have always been very friendly, helpful, understanding, and caring to Mum and the family. I am very grateful for all their hard work. Not to mention Mum's 90th Birthday recently, the staff went above and beyond to make Mum's day an extra special day. It was so lovely seeing her singing, dancing celebrating with the other residents and staff. Thanks to the chef for making a lovely cake which Mum thoroughly enjoyed very tasty!
My mum has been a resident at Silver Birch Care Home since May and from the moment I met the manager I knew this was the place for my mum and dad. The manager was warm, welcoming, compassionate and understanding and confirmed this was right for both of them. All the members of her team are so friendly from reception through to carers and on every visit, I am greeted with a warm welcome. Sadly my dad only had a short time in there after entering after several hospital stays and passed after a short stay but the care he received with them was faultless. After my dad passed they supported my mum and the care and compassion were fantastic. I can't thank three members of staff in particular enough for their continued support, kindness and understanding they continue to give my mum and the peace of mind I have in knowing my mum has the best care.
I visited my aunt and was blown away by not only how lovely the home looked but also by all the staff. It was welcoming and friendly, the reception area was thriving with residents and family members drinking and chatting which was lovely to see and be a part of. The food and service was second to none and nothing was considered too stressful. I would highly recommend this lovely home and stipulate that all staff from reception, cleaning, kitchen, management and nursing are all awesome and will all go out of their way to not only welcome you but help you.
My mum arrived at Silver Birch Care Home from a different care home that could no longer accommodate her needs. Silver Birch is an outstanding care home, the home is like a 4-star hotel and very warm and welcoming. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. They took the time to get to know Mum, and they could always get a smile out of her whatever her mood. The care, kindness, and compassion they gave Mum and the rest of the family were amazing, especially in the final few days of her life and we cannot thank them enough.
I cannot begin to express my gratitude on the care my mother received in the short time she was a resident at Silver Birch. We as a family cannot thank Silver Birch enough for the care, compassion, support and respect Mum received it was outstanding. Not only to Mum but to us as a family in her final days. Activities not rated as Mum was unable to partake in them.
My mother was a resident at Silver Birch Care Home for a few months but unfortunately passed away on Saturday. The care she received was excellent, I could not fault anything or any member of staff. She was treated with care and compassion right until the end. Family members were also treated with the same care and compassion as my mother. I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone.
My father is on end-of-life care but is so well looked after. He is very comfortable and looked after so well. Home staff are very flexible in what they are willing to do. They keep me fully informed as to his condition etc. I would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.
Silver Birch is a truly exceptional nursing home, and I feel so lucky that my mum is being cared for there. The home is immaculate, clean and welcoming. The staff are amazing, all so warm and friendly to both mum and me, and nothing is too much trouble. I know Mum is very well looked after and cared for, and that means so much to me. There is a warm community feel to the home, and I myself feel part of that when I visit. Massive thanks to each and every one of you!
Silver Birch has fantastic staff. The nursing staff are brilliant. You couldn't find a better place to spend your life and final years.
At Silver Birch, the care and service have been excellent. The nursing team are knowledgeable and everyone is so helpful. Above and beyond is normal at Silver Birch Care Home.
Every time I visit my dear friend and neighbour I leave knowing he is receiving first-class care and that all his needs are being catered for.
We felt very lucky to have found Silver Birch. Dad was beautifully cared for, all of the staff were welcoming and caring, always putting Dad’s needs first. It was a tricky time for us managing end of life and the whole team rallied round and really looked after Dad, as well as Mum and all the family. From little things like having a lovely coffee area to sit and natter, to always being offered coffee and delicious cake, we felt welcome. The other residents often sat in the coffee area and it was lovely to have a chat with them too. The management was excellent and the home was beautiful - my dad thought he was in a four star hotel which was great. Simple things like all of the staff always saying hello whenever we visited, and when anyone walked into Dad’s room they always said hello to him first and always spoke to him even when he was unresponsive. We’ll miss our visits to Silver Birch and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a care home or nursing home.
My mother was moved to Silver Birch Care Home from hospital on end of life care in October 2023. The last weeks in hospital had seen us become her carers and personal assistants and we felt we always had to have someone with her. When she arrived at Silver Birch we were all welcomed so warmly by all the staff, her room was warm, well decorated, spotless and modern, it had views over the gardens, she said it was like a lovely hotel room. A wide range of freshly made food was always on offer with a soup or sandwich option if nothing else was fancied. The care and nursing staff took over all her needs and reassured us that we could go back to being family again rather than carers. They all took the time to get to know her and ensured she was always comfortable and safe. We couldn't have asked for better care for her. At the end they couldn't have been more supportive and loving.
I was very shaky when I arrived but was soon feeling better as all the staff made me feel at home. I have felt as if I have been cared for with great kindness all the time I stayed. Good food, entertainment and company. What more do you want! Thank you to you all.
My father moved into Silver Birch care home 10 days ago. The difference in my father is nothing short of amazing. The care he receives 24 hours a day is excellent. The care home itself is not only spotless it is also of the highest standard. Each staff member goes over and above to ensure everyone including visitors feels at home. The other residents I have spoken to are very content, this is a joy to see. Special mention to the manager for all her help and support. Also the ladies for constantly supplying him with Latte! (his absolute favourite) This is without a doubt the Buckingham Palace of care homes.
My father arrived at Silver Birch Care Home at the end of February 2023. He was made very welcome and with the help of all staff settled in well. Unfortunately he had to go to hospital for three weeks in June 2023 with an infected gall bladder. He became very poorly and we asked for him to return home to Silver Birch Care Home for end of life care, where he had exceptional care.
Father-in-law moved to Silver Birch Care Home in February 2023 from hospital. He was made very welcome and soon settled into the home on the second floor. At the beginning of June he complained of stomach pains and was taken to hospital where he stayed for three weeks. On his release to Silver Birch Care Home he was again welcomed and his care has been exemplary. All the staff are most carting and friendly.
My dad is currently in Silver Birches. The facilities are good, and everything is clean and well looked after. The staff are kind and caring and have built up a good relationship with my dad. He has been in previous care homes, and this one is the best he has been in. He is comfortable and well cared for. The area where residents can get coffee and cake and the lounge where they can receive guests are lovely. Both areas are good for residents to meet. There seems to be a good range of activities to keep the residents interested. Thank you to all the staff for their kindness and professionalism.
