View Full Details of Stratton Court Care HomeA beautiful care Home with wonderful caring staff , nothing is too much trouble and they all work so hard for the welfare of the residents . The food is 5 star and the management are very understanding and supportive. I'm so glad we found this wonderful care Home for my dad
I was given a room at very short notice and grateful for that. I found the home very comfortable and secure and my outlook on my pending treatment for hip surgery was much improved by the care and reassurance of the staff. The food was very good and catered for most tastes it seemed. It was nice to be able to meet visitors in the reception area downstairs.
My mother continues to receive excellent care and attention at Stratton Court. She is very happy, secure and her needs are met by very caring staff. As a family we feel we could not have made a better choice as we know she is in good hands and her health is well maintained and attended to. She is encouraged to be mobile and join in activities and enjoy the company, food and comfortable environment.
Genuinely excellent. Sometimes a long wait after the alarm button is used.
Very good for most options. But for residents can be confusing - Am I a ground floor or 1st floor resident? I need info from both floors if possible as I want to join in. Up-to-date info would be nice. No criticism of the activity lady but activities could be increased? Excellent help from staff.
My mother has been a resident for six months - she is very content and well cared for. I am confident that she is happy. The entertainment and stimulation are very good. My only complaint is the return of her own clothes. I have raised this on numerous occasions. All her tops and other clothing are labelled.
The help I had from my carers getting me back to good health was second to none. They are now friends for life, their love and devotion to their job was and is admirable.
My mum stayed here for nine weeks at the beginning of the year, the security was appalling - the first few weeks she was there none of the keypads worked to get onto the floors - anyone could have accessed her room/other residents. Within a week of being there she developed the most horrendous ulcer on her back - she simply wasn't turned - no one checked on her. The carers did their best, the management is very top-heavy - lots of suits, not enough people doing the jobs that need to be done. The carers aren't just carers, which is why they can't care properly, they are the kitchen staff, cleaners etc. as well.
Firstly and most importantly the home smells great! Plenty of light and positivity upon entering the reception area. My father's room was easily accessible although not big. Some of the fixtures could do with a bit of attention (wardrobe door) but by far the most important thing was the care that he is receiving - it has been exemplary so far. All the caring staff cannot do enough for my father and he has felt cared for through what has been a difficult time in these past few weeks. Very many thanks.
My wife is content and appears to get on well with all the staff.
Mum went to Stratton Court 3 years ago on respite. She quickly made it her home. As her health deteriorated her care needs increased. Mum had a DNR in place and was adamant she did not want to go to the hospital but to spend her last days at Stratton Court. She got her wish and my wife was by her side when she passed. I would like to thank everyone for their outstanding love and care the nursing they gave to Mum. You truly made it her home. We were overwhelmed by all your support.
Absolutely lovely care home. Staff are always really friendly and helpful. My nan is very well cared for and respected. Often told how she is one of the staff's favourites which is lovely to hear! Very well decorated home right from the reception all the way to the residents' bedrooms and bathrooms. Nothing is ever too much trouble!
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Stratton Court for just over a year. My wife and our family feel very confident that she is being given exemplary care and attention in every way. It is so obvious during our regular visits that she feels completely safe, 'at home' and happy. Mum has built up a great rapport with all of the caring team and established some good friends there since she came in initially last January. This stimulation and social interaction with people of all ages plus the medical care she receives has improved her quality of life dramatically. The staff at Stratton Court have proven to work as an efficient team, with nurses on hand, alongside the local GP surgery and Social Services. This level of care would have been impossible had she stayed in her own home alone, even with carers as she lived 80 miles away from us. Mum loves the activities and she lights up with the musical sessions, visiting dogs, miniature ponies etc. The courtyard is wonderful during warm days.
Staff and management are fantastic - they really provide person-centred care to all residents. I pop into the home at various times and see this across all teams. Management is open to all new ideas and really works as part of the team. The care team is dedicated and well-skilled. It’s a delight to visit and hear how comfortable and happy the residents are.
My mother has been attending Stratton Court Care Home one day a week as a daycare user. The home has been very flexible in the daycare arrangement that we have (usually one day each week), and she very much enjoys her time there. There are a wide variety of activities provided throughout the week, and my mum has particularly enjoyed joining in these. The staff have been wonderful with her - caring and supportive, and I always feel that I am leaving her in a caring, safe environment. I can't really comment on the food and drink as I have not eaten at the home and my mum does not have her own room.
Stratton Court Care Home is a beautiful home with exceptional staff. Bright, spacious rooms and the food is lovely. The effort and thought that goes into the activities and entertainment are amazing. Couldn’t think of a better home for mum to be. Thank you.
In my time as a resident here at Stratton Court I have found that I have been treated with respect and made to feel really 'at home.' The facilities are of a high quality and kept nice and clean. Activities are varied and I have been encouraged to continue my gardening.
Since being on oxygen 24/7, life at times has been very difficult to cope with. The care and support I receive from compassionate staff who work with me and my family helps me to get through those difficult times.
I am happy. The staff are very caring, they want the best for the residents.
Mum has been at Stratton Court just over 2.5 years following a very difficult period post covid. Yes, there were some initial issues, but management was always available and always listened. I couldn't ask for better care for Mum. The staff care with love and understanding. I feel Mum is safe and well looked after, especially as she is now room-bound. I would like to thank all staff for the support they give mum.
