View Full Details of The Moors Care CentreAll the team are so caring and attentive for my mum. Mum is happy and in the best health she can be. Thank you.
The Moors Care Centre exceeded all our expectations since my father was welcomed there in November following a hospital staff. Without exception, the team go above and beyond to provide first-class care within a safe and professional environment. The home is spotlessly clean and there is always a genuinely warm welcome when visiting Dad. The activities are varied and perfectly suited to the residents. My only minor niggles would be the lack of car park spaces but I believe that is under review for improvement. Thanks to everyone for making this a home-from-home for Dad.
Accepting that Mum needed full-time residential care was a tough and scary decision for my mum and our family. The staff guided us every step of the way and treated us with compassion and understanding. Mum has now lived at the moors for three months and the change in her is amazing, she seems happier every time I see her. She reports having a laugh with the staff every day and constantly chats about them. The home is absolutely spotless, food is delicious and Mum is always accommodated as she is rather fussy about what she eats! I cannot praise all staff enough, they are always so cheerful and kind, they are amazing with mum and when we visit we always feel so welcome and looked after too. There are plenty of activities on offer and we are encouraged to join in, mum loves animals and there was even a pony visiting recently which made a huge difference to Mum's day. Mum moving into the moors has been the best decision we made for her.
After six weeks in nursing care we have seen an amazing improvement in Mum. After major surgery and a lengthy stint in hospital Mum was unrecognizable. The care and attention given by all the staff has allowed Mum to recover to a point way past what we had expected and hoped for. She is well cared for, socialising and treated with dignity. There is always plenty of staff on hand and all are happy to help or answer any questions.
A lovely, caring home for residents. Staff are visible, warm and friendly. They care for the residents well. The food is good and residents are well nourished. The building is clean and the rooms are well-maintained. There are regular meetings between the manager, residents and family members. Overall a very good care home.
The Moors Care Centre is an absolutely amazing place. After months of being in the hospital, many operations and in pretty poor health my husband was discharged into the care of The Moors. We had no idea what to expect but the care and attention he has received have been way beyond anything we could have imagined or hoped for. Thanks to the wonderful staff and plentiful, delicious food, he is now not only settled and happy but thriving. The staff, without exception, do an amazing job, treating residents and visitors alike, with kindness, care and compassion. The good humour and laughter make daily visiting a joy and we both feel extremely lucky to have such a wonderful place. Thank you to everyone at The Moors for making a difficult situation much easier than it might have been.
Mum has been in The Moors for just over a year now and is really settled. The management is fabulous and the staff work really hard to create a family feel. It's a lovely atmosphere and they genuinely care. It's great to see the activities coordinators working hard with the residents to keep them entertained. Props to the whole team there and keep up the good work.
My overall impression of The Moors Care Centre was the service is excellent in every aspect. Clean, warm, friendly and cosy. The facilities and staff exceeded all my expectations. The Moors Care Centre has provided my mum with a warm, friendly and family home environment where she felt welcome, safe and looked after. She enjoyed the lovely activities that were facilitated by the staff at The Moors Care Centre. The staff are all very special and I cannot express my gratitude enough nor thank them enough for looking after my mum so well.
The staff are all friendly and approachable, very helpful. Cannot complain about any of the care etc, that my cousin has received since being in The Moors.
Unfortunately, my mother had a fall resulting in a fractured femur - everyone in The Moors was wonderful towards her and us as a family. After 31 days in the hospital, she was transferred back to The Moors. The positive change in her within 24 hours f returning to the safety of the home is just wonderful to see. The staff are so unbelievably kind and caring to my mam and us as a family. We are so very grateful.
My mother is a full-time resident at The Moors Care Centre. After a month at the Moors she is delighted with all the staff, they are all so caring and a joy to chat with, nothing is too much bother. The food at The Moors is excellent, residents look forward to meal times. The Moors is very clean and the resident's room is warm and comfortable so you have your privacy if you want. The day rooms are good for making friends and having fun. Overall entertainment for the residents is really good and a good variety of entertainment. All the residents I have met seem really happy at The Moors.
My husband has been a resident at The Moors Care Centre for nearly four months. He is well cared for in all respects and he's settled in well. The staff are polite, very helpful and always keen to help. Visitors are made very welcome and are greeted with a smile. The rooms are spacious, furnished beautifully and the bathrooms are well-equipped. The garden has been a real pleasure to sit in on sunny days. The public rooms on each floor, dining room, activities room and lounges are also well appointed. In all, a very pleasant environment.
My mother-in-law has been cared for at the Moors for 12 months now. She is very happy in what she calls her new home. The staff are very caring and always keep my wife and I up to date with how my mother-in-law is doing and any problems she has experienced. All the staff are welcoming and keen to help ensure when you visit, it is a great experience for you. The building and grounds are very well maintained and always cleaned to a very high standard. The food provided for residents is always plentiful, well presented and can be dovetailed to an individual's needs. The new activities organiser has reinvented the activity programme well following the pandemic. All in all, my wife and I cannot praise the staff too highly for their help, care and professionalism. We feel my mother-in-law is in a safe place and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home unreservedly.
From the moment we stepped through the door in reception, the atmosphere was professional, friendly and helpful. The home smelled lovely and parents-in-law were clean, fresh and tidy.
My father was admitted to The Moors in October 2021 with vascular dementia, Altzheimer's and cancer. From day one, I was impressed by the care my father received and the professionalism of all the staff, at every level. In a short time, they really got to know my father as an individual and it was very reassuring for me to know he was being looked after so well. His end of life care could not be faulted and I am grateful to the staff for listening to our wishes and making Dad comfortable. I cannot recommend The Moors highly enough.
Due to the global pandemic, I like everyone else, have had limited access to The Moors. What I have experienced has all been very positive and the staff are kind, helpful, hard-working and professional.
My mother has been receiving nursing care at The Moors for over 10-months. She is 99-years of age, in very poor health, and suffering from vascular dementia. The family is very appreciative of the care she has received, and we are greatly comforted to know that she is content in her surrounding and is not distressed.
I couldn´t praise The Moors Care Centre highly enough! My father was admitted for respite in the Summer of 2020, and it became clear very quickly that he was in exactly the right place for his future permanent care needs. He suffers from severe Alzheimer´s and has other health complications, which had made supporting him in his own home simply unsustainable. All the staff at The Moors have been extremely supportive of my father and of me as his daughter from the outset, as it has been an emotional journey - from my first visit through to bring him in on his first day, and onwards. It is evident that the staff understand my dad´s condition and know him individually. The whole team are palpably caring, experienced and professional, and I rate the management of the centre very highly. Covid has meant restrictions in my being able to visit my father, but the team at The Moors have handled his care through the pandemic in an utterly reassuring manner, and I have been kept informed throughout.
It's early days, as Mum only arrived at The Moors in mid-December, but so far, we are really pleased with the care she is receiving. There seems to be a good sharing of information, and Mum is enjoying the activities - and definitely the meals! I'm just looking forward to the time we can visit her, especially as she can't see her rapidly growing great-grandchildren. I can't comment too much on facilities and cleanliness, as I can't enter yet, but Mum seems happy with her care, apart from carers who aren't gentle enough at times - she's in constant pain from arthritis and has very bad mobility, but they are still getting to know her.
Both my aunts were admitted during November/December. It was an extremely stressful time as up until they fell and subsequently went into care, they were living independently. The staff at The Moors helped during what was a trying time for them too. Not being able to see them or help with paperwork relating to them was difficult, but thanks to all the staff who have helped over the last couple of months.
All the team are so caring and attentive for my mum. Mum is happy and in the best health she can be. Thank you.
