Fabulous home for my brother. The home cares for residents with many different mental health conditions and I have experienced first hand their knowledge and experience when asking questions regarding my brothers care . On a recent visit they had a takeaway night which my brother loved . He goes out in the community to clubs that he enjoys . Staff know him well and he enjoys having a joke and a laugh with them . Staff are friendly and always offer a cup of tea . My brother likes a routine and staff help him with this and explain things in a way he understands . Im sure it's not easy dealing with multiple mental health conditions , but every time I've visited residents are happy . My brother is safe here and most importantly he is very happy . The Manager is very approachable and is always quick to respond to any questions or concerns regarding my brothers care.A very unique and loving home that my brother has thrived in . Thank you to all the staff at The Oaks
I am so grateful for the staff at the home, looking after my brother until the end of his life. Thank you.
My son has been a resident for a number of years. He is settled here. The staff are professional and my son is well looked after. The Oaks is very clean and bright and has lovely gardens. His family are always welcome when they come to visit. I kept up to date with my son's progress in between visits.
Lovely place and very welcoming. Lovely staff, who always come in when I am on visits for a chat and give me a wee update on how my uncle is doing. Love how he is taken out shopping, for lunches or were ever he would like to go with his carers in the home. He seems very settled and has came on leaps and bounds. We can't believe the difference in my uncle. Love that you are always made to feel so welcome and offered a cuppa. It's never too much bother to any of the team. Thanks so much.
I can't speak highly enough of this facility. The staff and management are so enthusiastic about individualised care. They go above and beyond to ensure my relative is happy. We have been so surprised to see how far my brother has improved. From someone who didn't even come out of his room, he is now taking part in music therapy, art therapy and group therapy. He is really unrecognisable. The staff are so caring and professional. The manager is approachable and very knowledgeable; she has helped us feel at ease through the whole process
The care given here is second to none. Friendly caring staff. A warm welcoming environment. Clean and bright. Made to feel at ease. I was so happy with the care given and the expertise of the staff.
My daughter is being looked after with the best of care, and she is very happy with her situation. The staff, in The Oaks, are very helpful and friendly and maintain a great atmosphere in the care home. The residents are kept entertained with various activities such as Bingo, quizzes, karaoke and recently held their own version of (The Oaks Has Got Talent). All residents have their own TV, plus there is a large television room with reclining seats and a large screen. There are also other communal rooms and kitchens for the residents and their visitors to make tea coffee etc. The furnishings and fittings are of high quality, and the home is kept spotless and fresh. Finally, all of this is well organised by the manager of The Oaks, who makes time for relatives and is very approachable and welcoming.
My brother has been a resident now for several years, and the care he has received over this time has been second to none. The management and staff are excellent at what they do and are very friendly; they also keep us up to date on how my brother is doing. The Oaks has done a magnificent job during these very trying times, and to keep the home and residents Covid free is outstanding. We can not praise everyone associated with the home enough. Well done, and keep up the good work.
The level of care that my husband receives at The Oaks is second to none. He is surrounded by an army of well trained, professional staff members. After years spent in rehab units in England, his behaviour and presentation changed literally overnight upon his arrival. The staff is truly dedicated to making not only his life bearable and decent but mine as well. In The Oaks we have found a safe heaven.
I would like to thank the manager and all the staff at The Oaks Care Facility for all their care they are giving to my daughter and all the residents in these difficult times, you are doing a wonderful job.
I am very happy with the care provided to my brother, and the staff appear to be very dedicated towards being inclusive and attentive to his needs. They are very encouraging for him, and you can tell he has a good relationship with staff when you visit. I am very grateful to the staff for all they do for him, I know that I don't need to worry about him and this is a great relief to our family, we know he is being looked after by staff who really care.
My friend has had mental health problems for years and spent many long term admissions in Hospital. She has spent the last two years in The Oaks and I have seen a vast improvement in her mental state, she is treated with dignity and respect, gained so much confidence and going out which is something she would never do. I can’t thank the staff and management for their wonderful support not only to my friend but to all residents. I have visited many care homes and none has come as close to the excellence of all the team at The Oaks.
The Oaks is a marvellous place for my client. It provides a safe environment. The staff respect my client's choices and always treat him with dignity and respect. I am very impressed with the meaningful activities that go on within The Oaks. Management is flexible and versatile in meeting clients needs.
The Oaks Care Facility is a very well-run place; where staff run like clockwork. The senior staff will always make time to hear any feedback from both residents and visitors. It has a very homely feel to it, and I always feel welcomed.
I have been living at The Oaks for 3 and a half years and I would recommend it to others. The staff members are very supportive. They plan days out and activities. Some of the activities we attend are the social club on a Monday evening and once a month, the staff support us to go to a night club in town that facilitates nights out for people with mental health problems and special needs. The staff are also arranging for us to go on holiday. This makes me feel that I get to live like a normal young woman even though I need extra support. Staff are always helpful and willing to provide extra support. The manager is very kind and generous and she finds a way to make us happy, she also goes the extra mile to arrange fun things for us to do.
I have been living at The Oaks for nearly three years. The Oaks is comfortable and welcoming to live in. The staff make The Oaks a lovely place to live. The management are also very supportive. The staff and management are very approachable and I feel they help me to keep my independence. I enjoy feeling part of the local community. I enjoy having my own independence to get out and about but I also enjoy the activities that the staff arrange. My favourite activities are the quiz nights and the local art group. I have also been elected as a resident representative and this has helped me gain a lot of confidence. I help welcome new admissions, organise events and also be a general helping hand around the home.
Over the last 2 years, I have had the pleasure of visiting my friend at this excellent facility. On every visit, I am encouraged by the calmness of both the staff and management and how they always make you feel very welcome. The residents appear very happy in their home and it is a privilege to be invited into their home. The way that the staff look after the residents and interact with them is more akin to a close family rather than staff and resident. My friend continues to flourish here and absolutely considers this establishment their home. Both managers keep themselves, the staff and all the happy residents encouraged motivated and feeling loved! A delight to be a very small part of this amazing place.
My brother has been at The Oaks now for just over a year and the care he has received is really good. From my perspective, his health has improved and he is in much better spirits than he was before he moved in. I live away and don't get to visit as often as I would like and rely on my dad for feedback. In our experience, the staff are all very skilled and caring and do everything they can to support my brother. The management is also very good. If I ever request any additional information I receive it quickly and responses are of a very good standard. We are really pleased with the support which is being provided.
I have been in The Oaks for 2 years now and I feel it is very much my home. The management are very helpful and the staff are great. The Oaks have saved me from my past and they have helped me move on. I am now looking forward to the future again.
Highly recommend The Oaks. The environment is clean, bright and very welcoming. Everyone is treated with respect by all the team working there. Management are very helpful and always make time to speak to you and answer any questions you have.
