View Full Details of Waterhouse ManorAlthough mum only stayed at Waterhouse Manor for a few weeks as she sadly passed away the care she received was excellent. The care she received was tailored to her specific needs and every member of staff she had contact with treated her with dignity and compassion. My family are so grateful for all the support we received at what was a very sad time.
We have been particularly grateful for advice on how to help our relative to settle and feel at home. Also the sensitivity in realising our sadness in letting them go into residential care.
Arriving at this home is like entering a 5-star hotel. The decor is beautiful and the home is very welcoming. All the staff are very welcoming. My auntie is very happy here and wants for nothing. The facilities are outstanding, every little detail has been thought of. When I visit there are always lots of smiles from staff and residents. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone thinking of somewhere for their loved one. You certainly won't regret it.
We are friends of an 89-year-old widow who has been in Waterhouse Manor since November 2024 having been living alone with day carers for a few years. We visit her regularly once a week and the overall improvement in her quality of life is very obvious in every respect. The home opened in 2024 so is new, well designed and appointed and with plenty of parking. All the staff we have encountered seem to be genuinely caring people and professional; they are very welcoming towards us. Our friend says the food is excellent. The home gets involved with the local community and various visits from local groups are arranged. Residents are also taken on short visits to a tea room at a local garden centre which our friend enjoys. She is very happy at Waterhouse Manor.
I knew from my first visit to Waterhouse Manor when I was looking for respite care for my mum that it was going to be an amazing place. The staff are always kind, caring, hardworking and approachable nothing is too much trouble for them. The facilities are excellent; very clean, warm and bright. Mum was very anxious at first but with lots of support from the staff and other residents she has settled in well and is now a permanent resident. We as a family have always been kept informed of Mum's needs and have been made to feel very welcome when visiting her with mugs of tea and a tasty meal if we want to join Mum for Lunch. The activities vary each day and I have enjoyed joining in with some of them too. I don't worry about Mum as much now as I know she is safe, happy and extremely well cared for.
My husband has been attending Waterhouse Manor on Monday and Friday from the end of September 2024. He requires mainly social care. Memory and speech very limited. The care and stimulation he receives are outstanding. All his time there is very special. He receives constant help with joining in the many activities, enjoys all refreshments and nourishing meals. All the staff are amazing, thoughtful, kind and reassuring. We are always greeted with a smile.
My mother has been attending Waterhouse Manor Care home for 3 months now on a day visitor basis. She is welcomed by all the staff every day so she feels fully at ease and special in every way. The meals and refreshments she receives are all lovely and the staff all take every opportunity in making her stay as enjoyable and fully filled as can be. She finishes her day wishing she could stay longer with the staff all making a fuss of her and wishing her well till they see her again.
The care home initially accepted my mum, who suffers from Alzheimer's, for respite care with 3 days notice when a crisis occurred at home with my dad. They immediately addressed pressing issues with injuries, infections, hydration and nutrition while they assessed her future needs, accepting her as a permanent resident after 3 weeks. Since then she has healed and gained weight, engaged with others and been stimulated each day by activities and a very caring environment. The home is brand new and locally staffed and being one of the first few residents to enter the levels of care and attention she has received are above and beyond anything that could be delivered elsewhere. Communication from staff at the home is first class and we always feel welcome on visits where we can see she responds warmly to them and clearly trusts them. It's difficult to admit but this is the care environment my mum needed much earlier. We are very grateful for all they are doing for her.
I came to this care home in October. My niece pushed me around in my wheelchair and as I went from room to room I felt at peace and thought I would love to come here. The ladies who showed me round were so lovely and kind and explained all the questions I asked. I've been here now for over 3 months not for a moment have I regretted it. The care and attention I get is unbelievable, nothing is too much for them. (If I asked for the moon they would get it.) Food is excellent, well cooked and always delicious, our activities are well thought out and everyone is able to join in. I am always treated with great respect and always feel safe here.
The staff at Waterhouse have been amazing. I've not seen my Nan as engaged as she is now in years, they really know how to bring the best out of her. It's wonderful to see how interactive she is with some of the staff.
I cannot speak highly enough of Waterhouse Manor, from viewing the home to moving in and every single day thereafter my auntie has been treated so well. The room my auntie has is amazing, it is perfect for her in her wheelchair, with plenty of room and designed and decorated to the highest standard. The staff, accommodation and the care is like a 5-star hotel. I cannot fault it in any way. She has loved it from day one and is just so happy there. She feels completely safe, valued and cared for. The laundry is done every day to a really high standard, anything that needs to be done by the maintenance man is done asap and always with jolly chatter and a smile. I cannot praise the staff highly enough, their kindness, caring, respect and professionalism is 100%. The food is amazing, such a high standard, my auntie looks so well and brighter since she has lived there, she loves being able to have her hair done. There is no home we feel that could be better for her, it is just perfect.
My father-in-law recently moved into Waterhouse Manor. We looked round several different care homes but really liked this one. We found all the staff really friendly and caring from the moment we looked round. Nothing is too much trouble and all the staff work really well as a team. It has a very homely feel and as a family, we are always made to feel welcome when we visit. The facilities are excellent and there are lots of fun activities for the residents to join in with if they want to. The home is kept very clean. We feel very comforted that my father-in-law is being cared for and looked after in such a wonderful place.
Waterhouse Manor has welcomed my father right from the 1st minute he travelled through the doors of this wonderful care home. The whole reception area loomed more like a high-class residence or maybe even hotel. The team were there on hand to take my father (who had arrived from hospital) and have him freshly washed and changed before meeting the residents there. Timing was perfect as we had arrived for lunch. We were sat at a table together. The care staff couldn't do enough to accommodate for Dad and myself. The food was lovely as was the freshly made latte. Walking through the corridors you had plenty of space, certainly enough for two-way traffic. The bedroom doors were more like posh house front doors with lovely golden door numbers in them. Where it really came into its own, was the highest standard set for the bedroom. All the furnishings and bed linen looked so nice. I really don't think they could have made it look more welcoming and homely.
My wife has now had two and a half weeks of residential care at Waterhouse Manor. She was made to feel very welcomed as soon as she entered. All the staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble. The building and interior decor is exceptional and has already earned the nickname in our family ' The Fordham Hilton'. The food truly deserves a 5-star rating. She is made to feel very secure and cared for at all times. All activities during the day are are extremely varied and provide a good mental stimulus. She is already booked to visit one of her grandaughters for Christmas day lunch but I'm doubting if she will want to leave at all for a even short time.
I needed to source care for my mother quite quickly after a rapid deterioration in her health. The team at Waterhouse Manor arranged a visit and an assessment of needs swiftly. They agreed to take Mum for a fortnights respite to facilitate care as quickly as possible, which was hugely appreciated. She was treated with compassion and dignity and settled in much more easily than I had expected. Her medical needs were addressed promptly and she is doing really well, and is now staying as a permanent resident. The home is beautiful and the staff are friendly, approachable and kind. The food is very good and it's great that it is possible for family members to join Mum for a meal. Even with it being winter, there are lots of activities available and all the residents look engaged with life and happy.
From first stepping foot in the care home, was welcomed and felt at ease, staff are extremely friendly and cannot do enough for you. The building is immaculate and has a lovely feel. The care given to my mum is wonderful, she was very anxious going but after her first day was very much at ease with the personal touch given, with all staff remembering her name and making her feel very special. My mum has been made to feel safe and most importantly when collecting her, has a lovely smile on her face. So for that a massive thank you to all the staff.
I have just spent two weeks staying at Waterhouse Manor Care Home Fordham in Cambridgeshire. During this period I have had the most wonderful care from an amazing team of people, without exception they are kind, supportive and caring. I was most comfortable and very well looked after during my stay. I have nothing but praise for everyone with whom I came in contact during my stay. Waterhouse Manor is a very special place.
Mum came for 2 weeks of respite care. She was anxious to begin with but was soon welcomed in by all the wonderful staff. All staff carried out their duties in a professional, friendly manner and Mum was very happy. Her care was exceptional but residents were encouraged to be as independent as possible. All relatives and friends were very welcome. Mum will definitely be going back for despite and possibly permanent. Activities were limited but this was to be expected as only a few residents were there.
I spent two weeks of respite care at Waterhouse Manor. I was anxious about going but felt very welcomed as soon as I went in. Everyone was so friendly and caring. The accommodation, food and care I received was excellent. Chef most obliging to my needs. I felt safe and well looked after at all times. In view of the fact, that there were so few residents the activities provided were very good. I look forward to returning.
