The care home and social services are not listening to the resident. She's not happy about living there, her mother lives 8 miles in Troon and her sister who's calling the shots lives 300 miles away. I know her mother only complained about her daughters care and welfare. I have been there myself visiting the resident. I have been barred for no reason. I finished with the resident sister, I only phone her almost every other day to say hello and I am barred from phoning her so she in there all alone and the care home manager has no respect for her mother. I am veteran and the resident donated to a charity which gives veterans a chance to stay in a caravan in gatehouse of fleet so how can I leave my friend whom I know for 23 years. I was always good to the resident and only cheered her up. Shame on Whiteford, I shall fight on to get justice for her mother. Because of these emails she's been informed barred her for another 3 months so if her mum sees anything, she's been told you better not complain.
I have been here 6/7 months at first it was up and down but through time and consistency from manager and deputy have now settled, I have a great nurse and keyworker, I get to help in kitchen and stuff, staff are not always the same but they're caring, I have never felt safe for 27 years but now I am, I know that the management and team would catch me and never let anything happen, some saved me already, forever grateful and glad I stay here.
Absolutely fabulous care home The place is very friendly. Beautiful interior and very skilled workers. Lots of activities and the service users are all thriving and very relaxed and it's a caring place. Staff all very friendly and great at keeping you informed of relative's care.
From first visiting we knew we had found a place that was going to be so well suited to care for my friend's complex needs. Care staff and management have been amazing, showing true professionalism and dedication to residents. Nothing is too much trouble for them! They take time to speak with me when Whiteford is now my friend's home and have warmly welcomed family and friends, taking on comments/suggestions made. Activities staff go out of their way to ensure she included and have taken her on outings to her favourite places. We are so happy that she is in Whiteford knowing she is comfortable, content and well cared for and loved by the whole staff team.
Whiteford House fully meets my sister's needs. She is comfortable and well cared for. Knowing this takes a huge pressure off her family and friends. Staff have been quick to respond to any queries we have had. Management team lead staff very efficiently and are well aware of everything that takes place on the floor. Staff are obviously happy to work here.
