View Full Details of Windsor Care CentreThe care home is well-organised and they run the home like a well-organised unit and they are very polite. They look after the residents with great care. Nothing is impossible for the staff. We visited the person we went to see and their names and photos are on their door. I worked in a care home before I retired for about three years myself. But this unit at Windsor Care Centre in Slough to me is so much more advanced.
My brother was well looked after by the staff. The food they were given was excellent. The staff were kind to us as well. The home was very clean and well looked after. The staff also asked us if we wanted tea or coffee, we thought this was lovely. The staff looked after the residents with a smile and said take your time and we can get there. To me myself I think they have hearts made of kindness to other people. The home is Windsor Care Centre, in Slough.
We (myself and 2 others) visited our friend who is a resident on the 3rd of August. For the second time, we were allowed to have lunch with him, which went very well and the food was very good. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms we were in were clean and attractive. The whole visit was enjoyable. Thank you very much.
The Windsor Care Home has cared for my mother for 4 years and we have nothing but admiration for all the hard work the staff do and are very friendly.
Generally very good, the care staff are caring and do a very good job providing care. The facilities are adequate and I feel that my mother receives very good care. Having had 5 years experience of the care home they are always looking to improve. Overall very satisfied with my mother's care.
My sister gets attended to well by the carers, the maintenance staff are great, shame it took so long to get her television sorted out eventually.
Whilst the rooms are a little shabby, the care my mother-in-law experienced was excellent. The staff went out of their way to bring her shopping for things not stocked by the home. The concern and support that the family received when she passed away, at 99, were exceptional.
My mother stayed at Windsor Care Centre for approximately four years. She had always been happy there. She always felt loved, truly cared for and felt safe and secure in her home. The staff were wonderful and I am truly grateful for all they did for Mum. Thank you.
I was a volunteer at Windsor Care Centre for a short while in December, and was truly inspired by the dedicated staff and hard work I was surrounded by. The care they provide for residents and attentiveness to their needs cannot go unnoticed, and staff and management alike are continually working to improve their services and respond to feedback. The caring environment was kind, bubbly, and friendly and you really notice the passion and love they have for their residents. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I was able to volunteer there.
We removed our mother from this care center the same day that she was discharged from the hospital and transported there, due to safety concerns and uncleanliness that we observed and reported. We did not feel that this care center would meet our mother's needs and that staying there would be detrimental to her health and emotional needs. Our overall experience, including a brief interaction with the Care Manager, was extremely poor and unprofessional.
Myself, daughter and friends all comment on the passion and care of all the staff. They are considerate, caring and understand the problems the residents have and learn to treat them accordingly. The only stronger love is family love and care but the staff are close behind. I cannot thank them enough for how they treat my partner and from observation, other residents, as between myself and my daughter we visit six days out of seven and see how they treat all the residents. We cannot visit the care home at this difficult time with Covid-19 and the high risk that residents are at. This lack of contact is heartbreaking for both our daughter and myself but a member of the staff did a video call so I could see and speak to my partner who suffers from Alzheimer’s. What care and consideration is that. We are forever grateful for the way in which my partner is cared for and it feels more like a family. I have no problem with recommending this care home to anyone. Thank you all so much.
Good care home. Could be more activities for family members though. There were no puzzle books I saw during my visit to this care home. Additionally, there should be a reading room for visitors to the care home as well.
The staff and management are perfect and know their job. Cannot fault them. All staff well trained for the work they have to do.
My Mum was in this care centre for 5 weeks after a fall at home for rehab. The staff were excellent in dealing with her needs, especially the Deputy Manager. They all were helpful and pleasant. Very professional and kind. Whilst the Centre is quite basic, all the essentials were there.
I am very happy with the care that has been provided for my wife. Staff are very friendly.
This is a bright, modern care home in Slough. The staff here, especially the carers, are really lovely and take good care of my mother, taking time to address her needs. I believe that she is well looked after. Her room is quite small but is sufficient for her needs. The staff do lay on activities, in the morning mostly, as well as having links with a local infant school, the children sometimes visit and play games with the residents. I would like to see more variation in the things residents can do as stimulation though, e.g. use of the garden in nice weather, musical activities and a more imaginative use of the lounge that encourages conversation and less watching TV for example.
