View Full Details of Woodland Manor Care HomeMy mother has been at Woodland Manor for a number of years and I have always found that she has been cared for with compassion. The staff have always been excellent, there are plenty of activities, although Mum is less able to join in now. The environment is maintained to a high standard, and I feel that Mum is always safe and treated with dignity.
The care home look after my mum very well, the staff always inform us of any issues and mum's general wellbeing, they also take Mum out on the bus for visits. The food is also very good and I also eat regularly with Mum as a treat. Overall, the manager and staff are very good.
After just one month of experience, and being able to compare two different care homes, I believe Woodland Manor to be better suited to my wife, and to me too as a visitor. The wooden furniture in the bedroom is barely sufficient and the quality isn't great but the soft furnishings are lovely and it's location, facing onto the lovely large garden, makes it the nicer option for my wife. Initially I was surprised at the absence of a TV in her room but, as time has gone by, I have come to appreciate that it's absence helps the carers oversee the residents. I particularly like that, when I visit and join my wife for lunch, the meal can be served in the bistro rather than the restaurant, making it a more intimate occasion. As for 'value for money', clearly Woodland Manor is expensive but I am hopeful of a reduction in price as I think the initial assessment suggested the need of greater care than is proving to be necessary in practice. The security of Woodland Manor is altogether better managed than my wife's previous care home could manage. I would recommend Woodland Manoir to anybody.
We cannot fault Woodland Manor. My mother-in-law is incredibly well looked after. If we ever have any queries, they are dealt with promptly and efficiently. The staff are unfailingly kind and attentive.
I visited my auntie from Sweden. She's very happy and well looked after. The home is beautiful and the staff are very caring and helpful. The food was great and the activities have lots of options to choose from.
Very friendly team and mum felt at home really quickly.
A beautiful building and setting - care good - only disappointment is food.
From the first time we visited the home until my stepfather passed away, we were treated amazingly. The care and respect we were shown was outstanding. All the staff without exception were so kind and provided care and support on all levels. Their concern was genuine which helped make a sad situation, more easy to deal with. Our stepfather was never on his own and passed away peacefully with people we will always call friends.
I was here for respite care after a bad fall. I was treated very professionally, with respect and friendliness. Call requests were answered quickly and I always felt safe. I was able to have a degree of independence but was carefully guided. Some basic foods are often out of stock! E.g. apple juice, ice cream, red/white wine. The wine was quickly replaced but not the ice cream or apple juice! Everyone is very helpful and very pleasant, and I was made to feel 'at home'.
From our first visit we knew this was the best care home for my mother. Top-quality care and facilities with staff always ready and willing to cover all needs. We do not hesitate to fully recommend Woodland Manor.
Overall excellent.
Good place to feel safe.
On coming to Woodland Manor 4 months ago, we were warmly received and welcomed into the community, which was a great relief after a traumatic closing down and selling of the our home.
Treatment received always excellent. All staff very friendly and caring. Resident treated with dignity and respect. No negative experiences at all.
My husband had two stays in Woodland Manor. In December 2023 for 4 weeks and in March/April 2024. Sadly he died in early May of 2024. His care was exemplary and I cannot fault that. I still visit the staff there. The nursing staff were so caring and everyone tried to make life easier. I have no hesitation in recommending Woodland Manor to people. Thank you so much.
Attended today's BBQ. Very good event, with lots of lovely food and drink and the staff was very attentive. I have found the staff so attentive and caring on every visit.
The team at Woodlands Manor have been so very welcoming to our family and wonderful at organising the move for our grandma, they relieved the stress and anxiety from the situation. She's very content and so well cared for. We've noticed how much more alert and content she is here too. Thank you all for welcoming her so well.
Our mother recently moved into Woodland Manor, from the get-go all staff members have been spot on, the home provides a diverse schedule of activities for residents throughout the week. Always made to feel welcome on arrival and well-supported at all times. Keep up the good work!
My mother became a resident on the 7th of April. We are so happy that she is at Woodland Manor. The staff are very professional, and kind and care for the residents. The food is great, the residence is clean and well-decorated. The activities are fun and the gardens are beautiful. As her son, I am so relieved and happy that she is living in such a great care home.
Friendly welcome from all staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Like a 4-star hotel!
