View Full Details of Woodlands Care HomeOver the Christmas period my dad's dementia became too much for my mum to manage and we took the very difficult decision to seek care for him. Woodlands has made all of this so much more straightforward than we imagined. The staff have been amazing with him and all of the difficult red tape was handled for us by the office team. All of his needs are catered for and he is so well looked after.
The staff have made the whole transition into a care home situation so much more bearable. The time they give the family to listen and support is invaluable. Every member of the team - the maintenance, the cleaner, the management, the administrator, the front desk lady, and the caring team - each one has been so lovely as well as professionally outstanding. It is a huge relief to know our mum is safe, clean and well-cared for. Thank you so much.
I have visited Woodlands a few times since my dear friend became a resident in September. Each time I visit I'm greeted by a friendly receptionist and welcomed by staff. Woodlands is spotlessly clean (smells fresh, not like other homes) and I know my friend is looked after by the very caring staff. Lots of care is shown by beautiful displays in the halls and foyer and activities seen to be enjoyed by residents. Well done!
My mum has only been in Woodlands for two weeks so far due to her not being safe at home anymore. And wow what an amazing place. When you walk in, it smells lovely and you're welcomed with a big smile from the lady on the desk. All the staff seem happy and will chat with you about any concerns. They have activities on most days, which my mum enjoys. The rooms are spacious with en-suites and we can take items from home, we took a lot of family pictures and they were soon put up on her walls. It's so good to see our mum happy again, we can also take her dog in to visit and he gets spoilt also. My mum is still settling at the moment but as a family, we are very happy with Woodlands and know we made a great choice.
My aunt's health has deteriorated and staff have been excellent in their support and considerate to all wishes including her family. The support and care have been very good in over 2 years my aunt has resided here. The staff are approachable and take on board our feelings. There are always activities going on, and celebrations galore. The environment is bright and welcoming. I've been able to visit at any time and personalise her room. No complaints.
My mother is happy, well cared for, well nourished and her medical needs catered for. The staff are lovely, and caring and can always find time to talk to the residents. One of the staff is solely responsible for organising activities and trips (e.g. on the anniversary of D-Day, all of the tables had Union Jacks on them and they had a special meal). The staff always have time to talk to us.
All staff are hard working in what they do. The rooms are all clean and well-maintained. The residents are all clean and tidy. Woodlands is very welcoming, all staff are really helpful, nothing is too much trouble and it is a pleasure to visit my mother at Woodlands.
I have been visiting my friend every week for the last three months. It's very clean and tidy. The food is excellent, the staff are very helpful and friendly. No smell of urine. You get your own room with an en-suite and a TV. My friend has settled in very well. I was amazed by the care home. I would even stay here if I needed to. The staff here go above and beyond.
Lovely home, and security is excellent but spacious areas. The bedroom is very clean and tidy. The team is all smiley, pleasant and happy to help.
My dad is a resident and has been here for a few months. He has a lovely, clean, tidy, comfortable bedroom. The day room/lounge is lovely and colourful, with nice, comfortable chairs. The staff are amazing, friendly, approachable and caring for my dad's every need. Great atmosphere. Residents are always clean and tidy. The staff are always celebrating any special event, encouraging residents and visitors to join in. I feel at ease knowing my dad is being properly cared for.
My gran was always adamant would not go in a home; however, after respite here, she chose to stay, and ever since she has been happier. The location and activities, etc are fantastic, but the main plus is the staff. They are always bubbly and friendly and nothing is ever too much. Great work and thank you.
My friend has been in four care homes to date. By far this is the best one for care and environment. My only concern is now it is summer there is no outside space for the residents at their disposal. Also I have not really seen much activity to keep them motivated and awake, I know my friend used to love watching singing and videos of the singers on the TV. Other than this it is the best.
My eldest sister has very recently moved into the Woodlands. She is calm, content and well cared for. The staff are most attentive, kind and always available. Her bedroom is well-equipped and very welcoming. The care home is spotless. It feels very secure without it being oppressive. I feel sure my sister will be well looked after. Already the team are working on increasing her mobility. A hairdresser each week is a pleasurable bonus for her.
On entering the home, any staff you meet are always pleasant, all corridors are clutter-free and bedrooms clean and tidy. Odd jobs attended to quickly. I can only say the food is good, all meals enjoyed by my husband and there is a good variety. There are quite a few activities, plus an outing in April my husband enjoyed. The care staff attend to their duties with a smile and take time to speak to residents. I admire their patience, they are altogether very efficient.
All the staff have been really great and supportive and nothing is too much trouble. They make the residents really feel like they are in their home environment. My dad rates the food as 'superb' and so that's a ten out of ten for him! Five stars, cannot fault anything.
Very welcoming from reception to carers. Information given as requested, with consent from family. All carers met have been friendly and caring towards residents. Room clean and well-presented.
My mum has only recently moved into Woodlands Care Home. To put it quite simply, I cannot praise all the staff enough. It's a world away from her previous care home. Nothing is too much trouble if it's in the interests of Mum for that matter all our family. It is a beautiful home full of beautiful people. I hope Mum will have many happy years with them.
My relative has only been a resident for a few weeks, and first impressions are positive. It seems well-staffed, secure and clean. The lounge/dining area is not the best for visitors. The standard of care seems good and overall quite happy.
Treated with dignity. Friendly staff who are very helpful. Easy to talk to staff concerning health problems.
Mum has been a resident since 2016 and is very happy with the settled environment, fortunately, none of the other residents are aggressive or agitated at the moment so it's a calm environment. The costs have risen well above the rate of inflation year after year.
